Beavers – Year-end Camp

Saturday, 11 June 2:00 PM Beavers, Beaver Leaders and parents meet at the Lone Cloud dock for departure on the Clipper at 2:00 PM. (for those of you who have not been here before, it is the road leading to Miller Lake immediately by the lights on Perrin Drive at the Highway 118 off ramp). The Clipper can only transport so many people at one time (~15 or so) so we will have to make a few trips to get everyone. The cubs will be heading over before the beavers. Please do not put your child on a boat without a beaver leader (i.e., don’t assume you can send them over with the cubs if you arrive early). We will all gather on the dock and take attendance, you will say … Read entire article »

Guide-Scout Swim March 12

Each year, the Guides/Scouts organize a swimming event to co-celebrate Scout/Guide week. This year the week fell during our Spring Break, so, the swim event has been rescheduled for March 12, 2011 at the Dartmouth Sportsplex. This event is for all Guiding and Scouting youth. As in past years, a parent will need to swim with their Beaver (same deal with the Sparks and any weak swimmers) in order to reach a 5:1 youth:adult ratio. The swim will take place on Saturday March 12th – swim from 4:30-5:30, pizza and cake from 5:45-6:45. After we ensure that all Guiding and Scouting youth (and necessary parents) have tickets we will consider siblings however due to our high registration numbers this year, we’re not sure that sibling attendance will be possible. … Read entire article »
